TIMES TRACKER: WHAT IS IT, AND HOW IT WORKS
Times Tracker is an add-on module that automatically monitors the status of your cases against the USCIS Processing Times table and Visa Bulletin. When a USCIS petition becomes current or a Visa number becomes available for a petition, Times Tracker auto generates a report and emails it to the law firm. For our Times Tracker video, click here.
In order for Times Tracker to work properly, you must enter data from receipts/notices to your cases. Please follow these step-by-step instructions on how to add receipt/notice information to your cases.
FOR Immigrant Visas:
- From the case profile, click on the Documents tab, then click Immigrant Visas.
- Click on the Add Immigrant Visa button.
- Enter data from the Immigrant Visa. Once done, click the SAVE button.
- If you are subscribed to the USCIS/Visa Bulletin Times Tracker module and would like to receive Email notifications regarding the immigrant visa; enter your Email address into the Email report/notification to field (as seen in the above screenshot).
NOTE ON CUTOFF DATES AND HOW THE eimmigration GATHERS DATA:
- Every night it checks for changes on the visa bulletin on USCIS website. It also checks if the next month’s bulletin is also available. We make a copy of all the information in all the charts. Keeping track of Employment vs Family and Chart A vs Chart B.
- Using the information provided in the Case Immigrant Visa, it compares it with the visa bulletin.
- It grabs the following information:
- From Chart B (Dates for Filing)
- Filing Cutoff Date: this could be a date letting you know which applications with a priority date before that date is being processed. This means there’s a backlog. Or it will show “C” which means there is no backlog and any application within this category can proceed to file.

- The system will show the information it obtained above in the Case Immigrant Visa [the fields with (From Visa Bulletin table)].
- The system will send 2 reports:
- Report for Filing
- This report includes any visas that have become current according to Chart B.
- Report for Final Action
- This report includes any visas that have become current according to Chart A.
- Report for Filing
FOR USCIS Receipts:
- From the case profile, click on the Documents tab, then click Notices.
- Click on the Add Notice button.
- Enter data from the Receipt/Notice. Once done, click the SAVE button.
- If you are subscribed to the USCIS/Visa Bulletin Times Tracker module and would like to receive Email notifications once the USCIS receipt becomes current; enter your Email address into the Email report/notification to field (as seen in the above screenshot).
- NOTE that the Final action Current as of field is greyed out by design. This field is calculated automatically based on a comparison between the priority date and processing time. They system runs through all receipt entries nightly and will input a date accordingly. Since this process occurs on a nightly basis, if a receipt was entered today, and is meant to have a current date populated, the process will run overnight and input a date the next day.
- Here is an example of the notification email that is received once a receipt becomes current.
