HOW TO CHANGE BILLING FEES FOR THE ENTIRE LAW FIRM

 

In order to customize billing items, you need to have the Billing module activated in your license. Billing is an Add-on Module which can be requested by contacting your sales representative.

 

  1. Navigate to the Administrative Tools.
  2. Click on the Billing Items button from the Home page.
  3. From this screen you can do the following:
    1. Add a billing item, by clicking the Add Billing Item button.
    2. Edit an existing billing item by clicking Edit.
    3. Delete a billing item by clicking Delete.
  4. Once you decide to Add or Modify a billing item, you will be brought to the below page. From here, you will be able to do the following:
    1. Enter the name of the billing item, enter in the description of the billing item, choose the type of billing item, and enter in the price for the billing item.
    2. Select the type of fees (these can be customized via administrative tools by clicking the Billing Item Types button after you log in to the administrative tools).
      1. The type of fees can be customized in the administrative tools by clicking the Billing Item Types button after you navigate to the administrative tools.
      2. You can choose to make something a per hour type of charge by using the drop down to the right of "per", and select hour.
